Leadership
Apogee’s Founder and CEO is the Hon. Karen R. Jackson, former Secretary of Technology for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Ms. Jackson is a proven leader whose experience provides a unique blend of strong managerial and leadership skills with a passion for community development, rural advancement, innovation, and the application and adoption of technologies across a wide variety of industries. She has been recognized nationally for her work in broadband, cybersecurity, and unmanned (uncrewed) systems, and has published articles on broadband deployment and adoption, rural recovery in a post pandemic world, and state broadband ecosystems. She holds a BS in Business Management from Christopher Newport University, and a Master of Business Administration from William and Mary.
